While It Lasts

We are strong-willed spirits,

Dwelling among dormant society,

Bringing forth limitless wits,

And the delight of every variety.

Often so stubborn, spouting words that stung,

Making mistakes and swimming in worries.

Still, there is nothing like ‘forever young’

So let’s learn to live and laugh for the memories.

Youth makes us go on a chaotic roller coaster,

With long-winded tosses and turns at insane speed.

But when the end appears to come closer,

“I really don’t want it to stop,” most would plead.

Ultimately, this phase of life is not ready-made,

For every being will have their unique touch.

It’s not an experience anyone would simply trade,

So have fun while it is in your clutch.
