Irene

Which Way?

This soul is suffering by the fleeting moment of her life,

She could just let it pass here and there,

But she chooses to bear the strife,

Tormenting herself with murderous thoughts she couldn’t bear.

Forcing herself to shape into others’ mould,

Only to crush her own shell and the soul within,

She is deemed as aloof and irresistibly cold,

So they could not tell her lies from their clouded eyes herein.

Should she hold onto herself and aspirate?

Or just adrift in the current of these old children,

Can’t she just leave her body and evaporate?

And ebb away without heeding the land of barren.
