In two worlds, I got myself caught,
In one, like an aged album on a shelf,
In the other, like a camera, waiting for itself.
In one, I'm found, like a bird in a tree,
In the other, I'm lost, as ship at sea.
In one, like a favorite old book, my very own,
In the other, a fresh chapter, a story yet unknown.
In one, where I called home,
In the other, where I am left to roam.
In one, where I have lived and shared,
In the other, where I am not prepared.
In one, where memories unfold,
In the other, where destinies untold.
Caught between two worlds, I linger in this space,
A pendulum, I gently sway in place.
Two worlds that I love, two worlds that I fear.
Two worlds that I hold dear.
