with tears

and visions

of the past long gone.

your memories lurking in the corners of your mind

resurfacing

floating

seeing the light

of a bright summer's day

touching the sky

tracing the clouds

laughter

when time is all we had

in this big wide place.

nostalgia is the ambrosia

making the bitter sweet

joy mixed with sadness

yellow tinged with blue

realizing

moments aren't forever

people come and go

the boy you fell in love with

has to leave town

somewhere

out there

has to move away

has something bigger to pursue

and you -

you as well -

what have you done?

what have you achieved?

questions resurface

doubts floating

wishing you had time

how little you have

how much time
