A dainty daisy stands firmly
Rooting herself to the ground she stands
Swaying freely and gracefully
Unwavering to the tempest beyond
Rolling up an immense storm
Undeterred by the tragedy about to strike.
The outpour begets demise
Another falls after the other
Ripping and tearing the leaves
Of the only swaying daisy
Who,
even at the mercy of the wind
Shines brilliantly through her petals
The wind continues to howl a tenacious roar
Every leaf and petal had been stripped away
Leaving nothing left but her core
The essence of her being
An apetalous design without cosmetics
Until even her roots soon gave up
Though her existence was brief
She still bore fruits
And bedazzled people with her striking look
It was not the meaning she searched
Or death she feared
She lived to the fullest as tomorrow was never clear.
